 Daniel is a delightful and bright 17 year old teen who hails from Newfoundland.
 17 year old Alexandra is a high school honors student from Port Charlotte, Florida who finds time to play in her school’s marching band!
 12 year old Toronto native, Matthew struggles with Muscular Dystrophy and is now in a wheelchair.
 James, an active 16 year old from Plateville, Wisconsin wants to see Men’s hockey, aerial skiing and short track speed skating while in Vancouver for his Olympic wish.
 New York native Mollie has been an inspiration to her family and friends.
 Gabriela, otherwise known as Ela to her friends and family, has been figure skating since she was seven years old, in spite of having Cystic Fibrosis.  Oddly, one day when Trace was 12, a strange “bump” appeared on the top of his left shoulder.
 14 year old Katie from Illinois has battled a brain tumor for the past decade.
 15 year old Adam’s true passion in life is snowboarding, despite having suffered from a stroke at a very early age.
 Every Canadian boy dreams of being a hockey star. And for 7 year old Max from Port Coquitlam, meeting his hero Martin Brodeur was a real wish come true.

 Dreams come in all shapes and sizes. Little ones dream of meeting Mickey Mouse. Athletes dream of winning.
 We wish to thank the many companies, individuals and organizations below who have so generously provided assistance with our Olympic wishes.

Thank you so much for your very kind offers of accommodation for our visiting Olympic wish kids. The outpouring of generosity from our community has been truly touching for all of us here at Make-A-Wish. We’re humbled by the overwhelming response. Happily, Jet Set Sports has come through and secured hotel accommodation for our kids in downtown Vancouver free of charge. Thank you for your immediate response to our plea for help! It is truly heartwarming to know that so many in our community want to help us make this the best wish ever for these kids who have been through so much already in their young lives. As the games progress, we’re hoping to post photos of their wishes unfolding on our website. This is the first time we’ve been able to show a wish as it happens, and we’re very excited! Of course, we’re always open to financial help, should you be inspired by our wish stories. Your gift will help us grant another 125 wishes this year. From all of here at Make-A-Wish, THANK YOU! Your generosity has touched our hearts and made us feel so proud to live in such a beautiful community. Excellent news!

 As the largest wish granting organization, Make-A-Wish has chapters in 35 countries around the world. When wish kids come to Vancouver for their wish, our chapter assists in the logistics.
